Autumn looked up into the huge tom's kind eyes; it felt like he was lending her strength. She shakily nodded, and climbed up next to Crowstar. She tried her best to sit proudly, as she stared back into the confused gazes of the LeafClan cats.

"This morning," Crowstar started, excitement in her eyes. "We gather together to name a new apprentice." She paused, waiting for the little cat to scramble up onto the branch. "From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Autumnpaw. Wolfsong, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to Autumnpaw. Wolfsong, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of courage and caring. I expect you to pass on everything Deerspring has taught you." Crowstar had thought that Wolfsong would be a good mentor. Autumnpaw seemed to like him, anyways.
(Is it okay if I used Deerspring as Wolfsong's mentor's name?)

Wolfsong felt full of joy at having Autumnpaw as his apprentice. He was hoping he could mentor her. He reached over to touch noses with the smaller cat and had to lean down a lot. There were a few snickers at this but he ignored them.

Autumnpaw felt overjoyed. She was an apprentice, with this huge, father-like tom to mentor her! She touched noses with him, blinking at the odd custom, and grinned at Skypaw. hey were in the same Clan now! The start of her new life....it felt right, somehow.

Wolfsong felt a satisfied purr rise from his chest. "Congratulations on becoming a LeafClan apprentice, Autumnpaw," he mewed. He flicked his tail towards the apprentice's den. "You'll be sharing that den with Stormpaw and Skypaw from now on."

"Cool!" She exclaimed, her tail lashing in excitement. She looked up at her mentor.
"When will we begin training?" She mewed curiously. She wanted to know all about LeafClan as soon as possible.

Autumnpaw bounced after him, her eyes shining with excitement. Her tail stood straight up, and she almost lost ehr balance when it got caught on a tree branch. She shook it off, and pranced away.
